The Global Oncology Center at 640 Memorial Drive supports Sanofi’s expansion in the global oncology research marketplace. This state-of-the art facility capitalizes on collaborations with the Boston and Cambridge-based biotechnology industry and local institutional partners including the MIT Koch Institute, The Broad Institute, and Harvard Medical School. The renovation project provides space for biology, biochemistry, genetics, scale-up labs, and two vivarium research suites.

Tsoi Kobus Design designed the office and laboratory environments to reflect a high degree of adaptability, catering to diverse work styles and research needs. Strategically located ceiling interface panels provide easy access to utilities, allowing for efficient and cost-effective reorganization of modular, movable laboratory casework. Fume hoods, sinks and equipment require hard-wired connections are placed along perimeter walls to maximize bench and circulation space. An open-plan office environment showcases uniformly dimensioned workstations; meeting or “huddle” spaces accommodate a variety of needs are provided throughout the floor plate; conference rooms with advanced AV capabilities are situated along the exterior shell to increase natural light and views.

Tsoi Kobus Design also designed the first generation of lab space for Millennium Pharmaceuticals at MITIMCo’s historic 640 Memorial Drive, representing our long-term commitment to clients.
