Proton Therapy Addition, Lancaster, PA

Penn Medicine and Lancaster General Hospital has engaged Tsoi Kobus Design to plan and design a single-vault proton therapy addition to the existing Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute. Along with a companion center for Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ, this facility will serve as the beta site for Varian's new compact gantry technology. Tsoi Kobus Design completed the planning and design in less than five months to meet Penn Medicine's overarching goal of being the first institution in the world to treat cancer patients on this new platform. The project reflects the unique mission, values, and goals of Lancaster General Hospital.
