This renovation and expansion of an existing building accommodates new state-of-the-art medical offices and an outpatient surgical center operated by Mass. Eye and Ear, a national leader in treating disorders of the eye, ear, nose, throat, head and neck. Located on the outskirts of Boston’s renowned Longwood Medical Area near longtime Mass. Eye and Ear teaching and research partner Harvard Medical School, the facility is a stand-alone patient care and surgical center. The institute has also partnered with the Joslin Diabetes Center and Beetham Eye Institute to provide services for patients with diabetes-related vision diseases. The new facility will help Mass. Eye and Ear to address increased demand for services, seek new partnerships with area healthcare providers, and ease overcrowding at its Charles Street main campus.

- Rust-colored Trespa rainscreen panels on the building’s façade create a uniquely recognizable presence on busy Huntington Avenue, while still working in respectful scale and context with its traditional red brick neighbors.
