Henry Ford Health
Second Century Master Plan Implementation, Detroit, MI
Developed over more than a decade of partnership as Master Plan Architect, the campus plan features a new 1,200,000 sf, 630 bed hospital to replace the existing 100+ year old hospital, and expands medical education and research on the campus. The hospital expansion plan is part of a broader development vision which places HFH's team, patients, neighbors, and community at the center.
As the project moves into implementation guiding principles include a commitment to sustainability with a goal for net zero emissions by 2040, as well as supporting diversity with a target of 35% of project spend with diverse businesses. In addition, the design team is collaborating closely with HFH to create an academy to train a diverse and inclusive A/E/C workforce.
