Located in the heart of Boston's South End neighborhood within proximity to Boston Medical Center and Boston University’s Medical School Campus, Exchange South End offers access to thousands of life science, medical, and technology professionals in South Boston. Developed by The Abbey Group, this master plan and redevelopment of the former Boston Flower Exchange site is envisioned to accommodate four new buildings totaling 1,600,000 SF on a 5.6-acre site. Located adjacent to the Albany Green, the development will also include a 1-acre programmed public park with an additional 30,000 SF of civic and cultural space and will be designed to meet LEED Silver Standards.

Exchange South End will galvanize the urban fabric of South Boston to create a nexus of idea generation, discovery and collaboration—a new life science and technology hub—featuring customizable buildings with the flexibility to accommodate the changing needs of life science and corporate office tenants. Tsoi Kobus Design is serving as the life science planning consultant to develop a range of laboratory and office test-fit options, programming a high-level of flexibility between wet and dry space on expansive column-free floor plates, offering large floor to ceiling heights to accommodate cutting-edge laboratory technology and equipment needs.
